A Friend in Need

I’m under spiritual attack.

It’s been going on for a while now, but the last few days have been especially tough. The enemy is bombarding me with doubts and heretical ideas about God, Jesus, and my faith, combined with blasphemous thoughts and horrible nightmares. He’s playing on my greatest fears and emotional weaknesses, trying to throw me off balance at every turn.

For the longest time, I haven’t been able to figure out why this is happening… until early this morning, when it hits me that perhaps the reason I’m under attack is that I’m about to take a huge step in my faith life.
