What if Gary is your neighbor?... Why you should be playing Gregorian chants in your home... Jonathan Roumie's vulnerable "healer" moment
Here’s another quick compilation of videos and news snippets I came across during the week. I hope it will entertain you and perhaps inspire you.
Oh Man, Not Gary…
In response to my blog post, “Oh Man, That Neighbor,” DSS reader Hugh Mann of @mensmedianetwork here on Substack sent me this hilarious cartoon. Thanks, Hugh!
Gregorian Chants for Spiritual Protection
In this YouTube Short, Catholic priest and exorcist Fr. Dan Reehil answers a listener question about the spiritual effects of Gregorian chants.
Reportedly, demons flee when they hear Gregorian chants, especially those performed by members of religious orders (i.e., monks or nuns).
Dan Schneider, Catholic author and an associate of exorcist Fr. Chad Ripperger, says he protects himself from demonic retribution by constantly playing Gregorian chants on his iPhone, at the lowest volume. Humans may not be able to hear it, but demons can… and stay away.
If you need a starter kit, here’s a whole hour of “exorcist-approved” Gregorian chants for you. Just set it to play on a loop, and you’re good to go.
Jonathan’s Vulnerable “Healer” Moment
Jonathan Roumie, the actor who plays Jesus in the hit series The Chosen, is a devout Catholic in real life. In this YouTube Short, he tells the story of a mother with a disabled son who hoped that—just like in the show (and the Gospel)—Jonathan would be able to heal him. Sad and touching. Gotta love the guy.
That’s it for today. God bless you!

I can attest regarding the Gregorian chants. When hubby takes trips and I’m left alone, just listening to them makes all the weird creepy feelings go away. Suddenly the house doesn’t make as much noise, and I sleep peacefully…. Not to mention transporting to another place and time… absolutely love them!
That comic strip is everything!!! Lololol!
