“If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn and offer the other also,” says Jesus in the Babylon Bee’s latest hilarious video. “Unless they’re a Republican. Then you can feel free to punch them in the face.”
Placed in a pretty convincing-looking setting, Woke Jesus—who has an adorable British accent—freely dispenses his wisdom to his disciples.
Like,
“You have heard that you should hate your enemies, but I say to you… this is correct. And here’s a handy little chart to help you understand who your enemy is based on Marxist Intersectionality Theory.”
Or:
Disciple: “It’s a miracle! Jesus has multiplied the fishes and the loaves!”
Woke Jesus: “No, no, my son. I’ve merely stolen it from that village over there. It’s called wealth redistribution. Pretty sweet, huh?”
I highly recommend watching this video. Aside from the considerable entertainment value, it drives home the stark discrepancy between the real teachings of Jesus Christ and the ideals of Marxist wokeism that some people claim he taught.
God bless you!
Jesus is the most pre-eminent--held in high-esteem--by the major religions. From there, it's a matter of degree of importance. With that said, organized religion is doing itself in by disparaging others, especially within their own faith. This is precisely why I am presently taking a backseat to the specter of comeuppance and the 'balance of power equation.' In particular, a state or country that would enshrine Jewish political, legal, and military exceptional rights based on a Biblical reading should NOT be tolerated. In the end, there needs to be a deep cultural change in the West. We can no longer count on our representatives in office to represent We the People when political figures soak their proclamations in proselytizing interventionism.
