Lotsa Confusion About Blessings

Here's someone to clear it up

Some priests say that Fiducia supplicans, the new document on blessing same-sex couples (and other “irregular” relationships like divorced and remarried couples) is probably the most debated and contentious document to come out of the Vatican in years.

What does it mean? Is the Church saying that same-sex “marriages” can now be blessed? How is the meaning of the word “blessing” redefined and where does that get us?

A few days ago, Fr. Chris Alar released an official statement from the Marians of the Immaculate Conception, and it contains the best explanation I’ve heard on what the document says (and what it doesn’t say), what the possible implications are, what the reactions of bishops from all over the globe have been, and where we go from here.
