I should probably emphasize that this book was written for Carmelite nuns and monks, aka consecrated souls who have taken vows to completely give their lives to God.
So when you hear about how we shouldn’t even tolerate imperfections within ourselves, let alone mortal or venial sins, just know what the background here is.
